 Education Partnerships 

  • Strengthened partnerships with Beaumont Independent School District and Lamar University to enhance educational opportunities for both youth and adults in our community.

Job Force Development 

  • Partnered with Lamar University and LIT to enhance the local workforce and support the downtown Economic Development Plan, creating a better student life experience while fostering city growth.


Advanced Recycling Partnership 

  • Secured a partnership with Exxon Mobil for a $100+ million advanced recycling plant at the Beaumont Refinery, bringing new jobs and a cutting-edge recycling initiative to the city.

 Police Department Advancements 

  • Launched the Real-Time Crime Center, integrating over 1,400 cameras and enhancing public safety across Beaumont. Over 2,600 cameras are now registered, allowing for more comprehensive surveillance, faster response times, and increased safety for both residents and officers.

  • Launched the Real-Time Crime Center, integrating over 1,400 cameras and enhancing public safety across Beaumont. Over 2,600 cameras are now registered, allowing for more comprehensive surveillance, faster response times, and increased safety for both residents and officers. 
  • Key partnerships have been formed with the Beaumont Independent School District (BISD), Lamar University, and local businesses to expand the safety network. Cameras have already been added to public parks, with plans to continue this expansion in the years to come.


Fire Department Enhancements 

  • Increased daily ambulances from 5 to 8, achieving a 60% boost in emergency ambulance capacity, ensuring faster response times and more efficient service delivery.
  • New equipment has also been added to improve EMS service. Launching the “GoodSAM Instant Help” App for 911 medical emergencies. GoodSAM and not only provide better, faster and more efficient care, but have saved the City money.

  • Hired the City’s first Economic Development Manager to spearhead initiatives that actively promote Beaumont’s growth.

  • Passed a TIRZ to reinvest in our downtown area, helping to drive business growth and development. This initiative does not raise taxes but reallocates prop

  • Partnered with Stonehenge Holdings to conduct pre-development work on a full-service Convention Center Hotel on Main Street, along the Neches River, to boost tourism, business, and local economy.

Beaumont Vision 2035 

  • Launched Beaumont Vision 2035, a forward-thinking approach to urban planning that focuses on business growth, tourism, and family-friendly living. This vision will help empower local businesses and attract young families to our city.

Economic Incentive Programs 

  • Utilized TIRZ, Neighborhood Empowerment Zones, Opportunity Zones, Historic Tax Credits, and Chapter 380/312 Abatements to attract new businesses, fostering long-term economic growth.

  • In 2025, Beaumont is investing over $74 million into water, sewer, streets, and drainage improvements, a 300% increase over the past five years. This has led to better service, reduced complaints, and increased community satisfaction

  • Beaumont received an A+ audit rating and a Moody's bond rating of AA, reflecting the city’s strong financial standing and low credit risk. The city’s stable tax base and the new management team were specifically highlighted as strengths.

Code Enforcement and Vacant Building Ordinance 

  • Implemented Enhanced Code Enforcement and a Vacant Building Ordinance to maintain a vibrant downtown. As of Spring 2024, 27 buildings were identified for safety issues, and nine months later, 13 of these have either been brought into compliance or are in the process of renovation. Progress continues!

  • Parks Master Plan Study Committed to improving green spaces by launching a Parks Master Plan Study with community input. This initiative will help create better parks and recreational areas for Beaumont’s families and children.

  • Passed a “No Camping Ordinance” to reduce homelessness in Beaumont while providing support through partnerships with local organizations. These efforts are aimed at helping homeless individuals transition off the streets by removing barriers to jobs and permanent housing.
